With reference to your letter of September 21, 1989, regarding the application of Sentence 3.2.4.14.(1) in the British Columbia Building Code.
We have no disagreement with the principle expressed in your concept with respect to the area covered by the first stage (alert signal) of a fire alarm system. We assume that the lobbies are intended only for use by theatre patrons.
