PROVINCE FAST-TRACKS NEW SUPPORTIVE HOUSING FOR HOMELESS IN KELOWNA
 
Click for more/larger photosMarch 19, 2008 – Minister responsible for Housing Rich Coleman and City of Kelowna Mayor Sharon Sheperd announce the Province and the City have agreed to create up to 140 new supportive housing units to reduce homelessness in Kelowna. The announcement follows similar agreements the Province has with local governments to expedite the building of about 1,200 new units in Vancouver and the building or upgrading of about 170 units in Victoria.
