292 New Off-reserve Aboriginal Housing Units Announced

Minister responsible for Housing Rich Coleman announces results of the Aboriginal Housing Initiative, a $50 million program that will create 292 housing units in 10 communities across the province.13 new housing developments will address a range of Aboriginal housing needs and priorities for youth, women, elders, and people with alcohol and drug addictions. Minister Rich Coleman, Rosanna McGregor, Vice-President of the Aboriginal Housing Management Association (AHMA), James Moore, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Public Works and Government Services and MP, Port Moody-Westwood-Port Coquitlam and City of Vancouver Mayor Sam Sullivan celebrate the announcement. The three are holding gifts presented by the AHMA.
