Updated effective May 14, 2007Download Practice Directives and Guidelines – The board’s Practice Directives and Guidelines have been updated to clarify that persons wishing to appeal a safety officer’s decision should, within 30 days of the decision, request a review by the responsible safety manager under section 49 of the Safety Standards Act before appealing to the board.

This document provides information on how to file an appeal and what to expect during the various stages of the appeal process.

Copies of the practice directives and guidelines, rules and forms are also available through the board's Victoria office.
