Updated July 4, 2006 – Download Rules of Practice and Procedure  – Rules of Practice and Procedure amended effective January 12, 2006: Board orders for the payment of costs under rule 36 will be based on Schedule 1, Guidelines for Determining Party Costs and Schedule 2, Estimate of Board Costs.
The purpose of these rules is to facilitate the just and timely resolution of appeals to the board under the Safety Standards Act.
They came into effect on December 1, 2004.
To assist parties in using these rules, the board has published practice directives and guidelines, including practice directives respecting the usual time period for completing an application and the procedural steps in an appeal, and the usual time period within which the board’s final decision is released.
Copies of the practice directives and guidelines, rules and forms are also available through the board's Victoria office.
